Sedbergh Natural Flood Management – Phase 2

March 2022

With funding from the Environment Agency, we have just completed a second phase of Natural Flood Management interventions at Sedbergh. Working with a second landowner, we have installed leaky dams, repaired and relaid a kested hedgerow, improved a stream crossing point, and planted 360 trees. Children and teachers from Sedbergh Primary School very kindly helped us with planting the trees. It was impressive to hear how much the children already knew about the environment, and inspiring to see how much they enjoyed planting the trees.

Here are some before and after photographs that give a flavour of the work we have done.
