As a small charity with a vast area to cover, we couldn’t exist or deliver the habitat improvements we do without the invaluable support of our enthusiastic volunteers. We work throughout the year and cover the whole catchment of the River Lune and its tributaries so there is always an opportunity to get involved.

No experience is necessary and we can offer an activity to suit any age or ability. Our volunteers come from the full range of our community: families, individuals, schools, colleges, clubs and local businesses. It is a great way to get outdoors, meet new people and make a big difference to the local environment while having fun. Activities include tree planting, path clearing, invasive species control (balsam bashing or reporting), litter picking, putting up bird and bat boxes and monitoring our projects.
