We are delighted to continue working with our partners, Ribble Rivers Trust and Wyre Rivers Trust to bring the Lancashire Woodland Connect campaign to fruition. The campaign is being supported through funding by a number of councils throughout the north of Lancashire, with Lune Rivers Trust’s participation being supported by funding from Lancaster City Council.

The campaign is very ambitious, with the joint goal between Lune, Ribble and Wyre Rivers Trusts to plant 500,000 trees by 2030 across Lancashire. Our own component of this is the ambition to plant 100,000 trees in the Lancashire part of our catchment.

This is an exciting and ambitious campaign and we would love you to get involved. As we develop specific projects we will try to open up as many opportunities as possible for people to volunteer to help us get the trees in the ground. If you would like to make a step towards offsetting some of your household carbon and improving air & water quality, we would also greatly value a donation from you towards the campaign.

By donating £15 to plant and nurture a tree you can help deliver the goal of helping to plant 100,000 trees across the Lancashire part of the Lune catchment. We will send you a certificate to recognise your valuable contribution to this campaign. If you have ideas of sites for tree-planting in the Lancashire part of the Lune catchment, do let us know.
