
Adrian Todd
Chair
Adrian was an original member of the Lune Habitat Group and a trustee of the Lune Rivers Trust since its formation. He was Vice Chair from 2008 until 2021, when he took over from Mick as Chair. He lives in Tebay and he has political connections in the area. Adrian is a construction manager with interests in coffee bean importing. His wide experience in business, politics, management and practical construction has been invaluable over the years.

Richard Jardine

Richard has been a trustee since 2018 and Vice Chair since November 2021. He was brought up in the Midlands and spent his professional career based in Gloucestershire working with Star/Zurich Insurance and Nationwide Building Society. He has a lifelong interest in the countryside starting as a boy around the moorlands of north Staffordshire and conservation especially water related. He also has an interest (although not very accomplished) in angling. After retiring he has got more involved in conservation and does volunteer work for (in addition to the Lune Rivers Trust) the Lancashire Wildlife Trust and various other organisations.

Mick, a resident of the Lune Valley all his life, was the founder of The Lune Habitat Group in 1998 (when he retired as a builder) which became The Lune Rivers Trust in 2008 and he was the Chairman until 2021. He has renowned knowledge of the Lune catchment with particular interest in fish and fishing. He walks the river every day and is the Trust’s eyes and ears on our fishing beats.

Andy has been a trustee since 2011. He is also Chairman of the Lune & Wyre Fishing Association and represents the interests of the Trust on many fishing boards and consultations. He produces reports on his many surveys throughout the catchment and provides the Trust with invaluable information about historic fishing records.

Gary has supported the work of the Lune Rivers Trust since it was formed. His passion is saving the red squirrel by controlling the greys and protecting the colonies of red squirrels which are re-establishing themselves in the Lune catchment. He also helps to control the mink to protect other native species in the Lune. He enjoys watching our kingfisher and has helped Tebay Anglers plant many trees in the upper reaches of the Lune to protect our spawning becks. Gary has been a Trustee since 2020.

She is a Parish Councillor for Caton-with-Littledale with a particular interest in emergency preparedness and flood prevention and in neighbourhood planning. She is a keen (but she says inexpert) birdwatcher and has wide-ranging interests in the environment.

Leonne has lived in the Tebay area for 50 years. Although city born and bred and didn’t see a cow till she was 8, she has always been fascinated with wildlife and the environment. She was a founding member of the Lune Habitat Group and a Trustee of the Lune Rivers Trust since 2008. Leonne’s passions include tree planting (she has planted 200 trees on her land), creation of hay meadows with native flowers and a fascination with the lamprey (unchanged for millions of years but now being changed by man).
