Lancashire County Council Green Partnership Award

November 2015

Throughout the summer of 2015 we held several litter picks and balsam bashes along the Millennium Way footpath from Greyhound Bridge in Lancaster to Junction 34 on the M6 and at Burrow Beck with students from Ripley St. Thomas Academy. These events were a great success in many ways. Not only did we clear huge stretches of Himalayan Balsam with the support of our ever enthusiastic volunteers, we were also able to raise awareness by talking to passers-by and picked up several new Trust members along the way! We also had the help of our youngest volunteer aged 5 months who came with mummy.

Special thanks for fantastic support goes to local businesses :- Think Pink Supaskips, Holiday Inn, Costain and Sainsburys.
